AUTO RACING: Consistent Taurus driver Dario Franchitti (born 5/19/1973) joined fellow Taurus Helio Castroneves (born 5/10/1975) as a 3-time winner of the Indy 500. 

HOCKEY: Led by current Stanley Cup standout Martin Brodeur (born 5/6/1972), Taurus claims 3 of the top 4 leaders in all-time NHL goalie wins (The Quotable Taurus, page 175).  Reliable Taurus hockey defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom (born 4/28/1970) retired this week after a lengthy tenure as the NHL's top defenseman. 

TENNIS: Taurus tennis player John Isner (born 4/26/1985) endured another endless match that set tournament records.  Taureans Virginie Razzano (born 5/12/1983) and Andy Murray (5/15/1987) outlasted visible physical distress to win French Open tennis matches, while American Brian Baker (born 4/30/1985) earned accolades for his determined comeback from years of multiple surgeries.
